Weekend update

I don't have a lot of time to write at this time, but wanted to get an update out to everyone. I have had some inquiries about Rob and his brother and the marathon. If anyone has heard, the race officials closed the course at 11:30 (it started at8:00a) due to the heat. It was record heat for yesterday in Chicago. One person died, 3 people are in critical condition and 100's went to local hospitals. The main issue was body temp too high and dehydration. Thankfully, Rob and his brother are smart and didn't go overboard. At mile 2, Rob had already decided this race was about finishing, not getting a specific time or even beating any previous times. Both Rob and Phil finished the entire race and are doing just fine. Sarah and I didn't go into the city, thankfully. We hung out in the 'burbs.

I am not even going to comment about the Cub game on Saturday night.

So, it's been a rough weekend. We are having a lot fun with family and friends.

More later.

Glad to hear you're all ok - saw the results and not bad considering the record heatwave! See you on your return!

I was thinking about you and Rob yesterday- especially when I heard the news reports. Glad that he was smart and that all is well!
