I have been under the weather lately. Therefore, not much happening on the photography front. I manage to get a couple snapped of Sarah each day. So, if you don't mind, here she is...again. (Chellie, these were all taken with my 50 mm f/1.8 lens, just FYI).

Where I'd like to be

It's a pretty hazardous day outside today, a little sleet, snow, rain, any watery kind of icky stuff you can mix up. Thankfully I went to the gym and worked out before it all started. Now, Rob and Sarah are napping and I have been enjoying my alone time by fiddling around on my computer, doing a little work, a little fun and lots of in between, while sipping on some English Breakfast tea with cream and sugar. Oh, yeah, there's the Traditional Holiday Music TV channel playing in the background.
It's been nice and cozy. After some time, I have become antsy and start to think of places, other than here, I'd rather be. I came across this picture and immediately thought, "I would love to be at the horse rescue (in Maryland) with my sister and niece". I took this picture when we visited a few weeks ago. It has such a warm, inviting mood to it. Can't you just smell the hay and horses and feel the warmth from the barn and stalls? It brings me back to my childhood with our horse, Syrina. We used to spend lots of cold, wintry days together in the small barn or outside huddling together for companionship and warmth. : ) There are MANY other places I'd like to be, but right now, at this moment, this place is most inviting!

Our Christmas tree is up, but only two ornaments on it so far (at least the lights are hung, thanks to Rob). I am not crazy about putting ornaments on the tree, not sure why. It always ends up being Rob's job. ; )

Wanna Ride?/Update

Unfortunately, it's going to take me a little while to post on the activities and adventures during our trip to D. C. We had a GREAT time while we were there, but the trips there and back were quite undesirable (putting it lightly, huh, Mom?). I don't have time to post about that right now, just wanted to get a picture posted and let you know we are back.

My sister works at a wonderful horse rescue. While visiting, I couldn't pass up this site. I have no idea how many halters are hanging here. (Dee? Any ideas?)

More Fall Beauty

New Favorite Spot

Our new deck is a great place to take pictures! Although I need to avoid the 1:30-3:30 hrs as it is a sun-trap.

Bottle it up!

Yesterday afternoon was one of those days you wish you could bottle up and save for a rainy, snowy, freezing cold day. It was perfect. Sarah did great in the stroller as we walked down our street and soaked in the crisp, fall air and gawked at the vibrant colors!

These two pictures were taken just a block down the street.

This one is of our neighbors backyard fence. These two squirrels were having a hayday running, squawking, chirping and almost falling off the fence. I can't believe I was able to catch them sitting still.

Fall Beauty

We had a good weekend. Rob ran a 5.5 mile trail race on Sunday and did great. He placed 73rd out of 454 runners.
It was a beautiful morning, so Sarah and I went out to cheer Daddy at the finish line. The weather was just gorgeous and my brain was getting overloaded with all the photographic opportunities, I just couldn't keep up!
