Don't try too hard

Today I learned a lesson. Not a new one unfortunately. I re-learn it every few weeks or months. It seems that when I try hard to take a good picture, none of them turn out (see my last post). Then today when I am just playing around, there's more than enough descent shots to go around. Why can't I seem to learn this lesson? I don't know - thick skull, maybe (no comment from the peanut gallery, please).

This is my orange mint plant from 2 years ago. It grows crazy in the summer time and smells great.

This was a complete accident. Sarah came up to me as I was taking the shot and I moved my arm. So that's why part of the flower is cut off. But I like it.

This is a bouquet of Zinnias Rob bought me at the farmers market. The color version had bad lighting, but in B&W and soft focus it didn't turn out too bad.

OMGosh that flower in #2 is absolutely beautiful! And that closeup is awesome! Love the colors and the angle!

Yes, the best things often happen unexpectedly.
