Challenged/Coffee Anyone?

Challenges make you grow, right? So, to my already busy, fun-filled life...my marriage/family, my husband/best friend, my daughter, my photography, my quest for a healthier body and mind (soul, too, while I am at it) I am adding yet another challenge/opportunity. Let me explain. I have been surfing the blogosphere the last few days (actually, just finding them through mutual blog-friends). I happened upon one yesterday that introduced me to 365er's. These, apparently, are photo-buffs who have committed to posting a picture a day on their blog. What a cool idea! I long to take more and better shots, especially with my new Canon Rebel XTI toy, so I thought, "what the heck?" One of the challenges within the challenge will be to stretch my mind beyond my favorite subject (Sarah)....what? Did I say that? I only say this because I feel I can snap photos of her until my 600+ memory card is full (all in the day). So this will help me look for more, work my brain a bit to see what else is out there. I know from the past there is so much more out in the world, just ready for me. Hopefully, this will get me out of the house a little more or get some much needed practice on working with my 3rd arm (the camera). HA! Oh, I can always use Sarah as a back up, I know. Or if she's my inspiration for the day/moment, then it will be a shot of her! I don't think anyone will mind. All that said, I can't guarantee this will be the case everyday, since my time is not my own with a 21 month old. I will try my best. I have to NOW that I just announced it to everyone! Here I go...

So, this afternoon, while reaching for my tea cup and saucer sets (to drink my decaf afternoon coffee with, of course) I was reminded of the cool colors and patterns on these dishes. I was inspired to snap some shots.

I'm looking forward to number 143 - which is when you are desperately scrambling for inspiration and find it in the strangest, most peculiar place ever - and no, it's not Sarah!

I'm going to be checking and cheering you on! 'Cause I think you're an awesome photographer!
