Brilliant!

Does anyone else have brilliant children? I assume that most parents will admit to saying their child is a genius, or maybe, smarter than other children because of things they've done. I am one of these parents. Actually, I think it's all new for me and I don't know what to expect, so Sarah just continues to blow me (and Daddy) away. Her vocabulary has exploded this last month and each day, I swear, it doubles! So, the story is...she can recognize and say the letter "M". Daddy was writing on the frequently used, mini-Doodle pro and wrote "M", Sarah turned her head upside down and said "W". This is after I showed her the letter "W" ONCE the day before! Aren't you amazed? I can go on and on, but I think you get the point of my babbling. Right now her favorite words are duck (she's very clear about the "ck" on the too), moose, cow, pig and boot. Oh yeah, she can almost "read" an entire picture book as well. My favorite word she says is "sit", she adds a little extra "sh" which just sounds, well, you know...and so cute ; )

I totally understand your amazement. Nat did that upside down W and M thing recently and I was SOOOO impressed. She was talking about a slice of bell pepper that was shaped like an M (or W, depending on how you look at it) which made me even more impressed.

I think all toddlers are absolute geniuses. It is so fun to watch them learn stuff you didn't even know you were teaching them (well, most of the time, anyway).

You too, huh! Alex is a prodigy (of course) just like a lot of the toddlers I see. I think it has to do with them being babies and then "all of a sudden" having a HUGE development surge. Still, Brett and I are constantly amazed with what Alex gets up to. That's so cool about the M-W thing though, Sarah takes after her mum, obviously!
